Dynavision was founded by Phil Jones after retirement from professional football. In his final year with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League he was introduced to a revolutionary training technique.Jones was so passionate about the positive effects of this optometrist developed device, he approached the owners and bought the company. After four years of research and development with the help of a multi-disciplined team of industrial designers, ophthalmologists and sports trainers, the first commercially viable device, the Dynavision 2000™, was complete.
The first five hundred Dynavision 2000™ units were built in a garage with Jones’ children taught to solder circuit boards, strip wires, and play their part in the manufacturing line. While being accepted in athletics, the Dynavision 2000™ gained attention from medical communities and tactical professionals. As independent research launched and demand grew, Dynavision developed to full scale manufacturing and continued with product innovation.
Dynavision International was created and moved to TSS Technologies located in West Chester, Ohio.
TSS and Dynavision International introduced the Dynavision D2™ including cutting-edge technology to track user performance, light-weight and robust materials and new and improved training programs while keeping the simplicity and ease of use of the original Dynavision 2000™.
Since partnering with TSS Technologies, Dynavision has grown rapidly and continues to lead the industry with over 1,200 installations in 36 countries. Working with TSS engineers, product developers, and researchers, Dynavision has been able to have research-backed innovation year after year. Dynavision pushes forward to continue providing world-class technologies for clinicians, athletes, and professionals looking to experience the Proven Power of Dynavision™.
Jones still consults on economic development with the company today.
