What Our Clients Are Saying
I have utilized the D2™ as an adjunct to the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of traumatic brain injury and neurodegeneration. Our clinical facility attracts a large number of professional, olympic, collegiate and nationally ranked athletes that have suffered sports concussions as well as military veterans that have had brain injuries. The D2™ has served as a valuable adjunct to our therapies. We have found it invaluable.
Utilizing the device as an assessment tool, it is possible to measure quadrant or hemi-field biases, observe cognitive-motor strategies or tendencies (ambidextrous use of hands, single hand strategy, and dominant or non-dominant hand bias), observe search strategies for lighted targets either by visual means or eye-head movements, and observation of patient accuracy in hitting the target. Based on these measurements and observations, a better clinical picture of the patient can be developed and the data can be incorporated in with examination and diagnostic findings to devise a treatment strategy.
As a treatment tool, the Dynavision D2™ can be used in motor and cognitive training. It allows for use of number recall and math problems to increase cognitive load on the patient while performing visuomotor training. The system can be programmed to rehabilitate specific quadrants or hemi-fields of the patient’s visual surround. It can also be custom programmed to facilitate brain-based eye and hand movement treatments. Further cognitive challenge can be added by performing hit/no-hit programs where lights flash red to indicate that the patient should hit the button and green lights to indicate not to hit the button.

The Dynavision D2™ has had a tremendous impact at Gold in the Net Hockey Schools! The D2™ has provided our goaltenders access to vision training at an entire new level and for the first time at a goaltending program. We are able to combine off-ice training on the D2™ with innovative on-ice tracking and reading drills.
An elite goaltender must excel at eye-hand coordination, peripheral awareness, cognitive processing ability, visual reaction time, decision making under stress and concentration under fatigue. The D2™ trains this and so much more! We see a substantial difference both mentally and physically between our goaltenders that combine D2™ training with our on-ice programs compared to those that just participate on-ice. Goaltenders that train on the D2™ track pucks better, have the ability to read the play more consistently, react to rebounds faster, have improved focus, increased field of vision to see opposing players and perform better under stress.
Our clients love the challenge of the D2™ and are excited for every session. Athletes enjoy getting a score. The tracking capabilities of the D2™ allow our clients to compete against themselves and on our weekly leaderboard. All of our clients improve and are driven by the rush of reaching new bench marks. The D2™ is very diverse and limitless in providing a challenge that is never-ending.
